Alaska Dall Sheep

The hunting area is located 180 miles West North West of Anchorage, AK. It lies on the west side of the Alaska Mountain Range. The main hunting area consists of 160 square miles of private property – some of the best Dall Sheep hunting the state has to offer.

Date of Hunt:  August 2017

All of the guides are registered Alaskan big game guides. All 3 guides have 10 plus years of sheep guiding experience and nearly 60 successfully guided sheep hunts combined.

There are three different camps to hunt sheep.
The sheep hunting pressure is spread out over a large area.

Success in 2012: 6 for 7
Success in 2013: 7 for 9
Success in 2014: 5 for 9 (2 hunters shot at sheep and missed)
Success in 2015: 9 for 11

Cost of Hunt: (limit 1 sheep per person)

10 Day Hunt (Guide Exclusive Area) 1 x 1: $19,500.00USD
Transportation to and from Base Camp: $1,750.00USD
Non Hunter Fee: $300.00USD/day

Trophy Fees (if hunter has opportunity):
Black Bear $1,500.00USD
Grizzly Bear $5,000.00USD
Moose $10,000.00USD
Caribou $3,000.00USD

Alaska Hunting License/Tag Costs: 
$85 - AK hunting license 
$425 - Sheep tag 
$400 - Moose tag
$325 - Caribou tag 
$225 - Black bear tag 
$500 - Grizzly tag
$175 - Wolverine tag 
$0 - Wolf tag 

Cost Includes:

• Fully guided 1x1hunt
• Transportation during hunt
• Accommodations
• Food and non alcoholic beverages
• Trophy care and preparation

Cost Does Not Include:

• Round trip flight from Home to Anchorage (ANC)
• Round trip flight from ANC to Sheep Camp - $1,750
• We will schedule the flight. Flight may be on wheels or floats, depending on which camp. Flights include all transportation of trophies and meat.
• Hotel accommodations in Anchorage before and/or after hunt
• Expediting of all trophies to client home or taxidermist
• Gratuities to staff

Accommodations and Meals:

Hunt out of cabins, very rarely do we have to spike out. And if so it is only for a night or two. The camps are fully equipped with cook house, shower and private cabins. Breakfast and dinner made hot each day before and after hunting. 

How to get Here:

Clients will fly to Anchorage, AK and spend the night.

The next morning you will fly to Farewell out of Merrill field. There you will be picked up and transported to camp. There are three different camps to hunt sheep.

The sheep hunting pressure is spread out over a large area.

You will be issued licenses and tags in camp.

After the hunt you will fly back to Anchorage.
