Alaska Moose and Grizzly Hunt

There are many superb Alaskan trophy bull moose over the vast secluded hunting areas around our camps. Eight foot plus grizzlies are hunted as soon as they come out of hibernation.

Our outfitters lodge is located on private property, situated between an unnamed lake and the Stony River, 230 air miles west of Anchorage, Alaska. They cater to people that wish to enjoy rugged Alaska outdoor activities incorporated with a well appointed full service lodge operated by a 30 year plus Master Guide and experienced staff. Putting you in quality hunting areas and making your adventures most rewarding is their goal.

There are many superb Alaskan trophy bull moose over the vast secluded hunting areas around our camps. Bulls taken by our clients have always averaged well in excess of 60” spread, with typically 90% success. In 2014, our outfitter had 2 Boone & Crockett record book Moose.

Located in the heart of caribou country – you’ll find your trophy amongst 100’s of majestic animals. We deploy camps in areas of local herds as well as migrating animals. In 2014, our outfitter had a Boone & Crockett record book Caribou.

You will hunt in an area where berries are in abundance, where the black bears spend most of their time in the fall. Average bears taken by our clients square in excess of six feet.

Eight foot plus grizzlies are hunted as soon as they come out of hibernation. Many SCI record book bears have been taken in past several years. In 2013, our outfitter had the #1 all-time record book Grizzly.

Beautiful bears taken in beautiful setting. Other animals can be taken on “trophy fee” basis.

High success on full curl+ rams. We know where to find the big ones!!. Exciting new areas. If you are in good “sheep hunting shape”, expect to take home a nice ram. In 2014, our outfitter had a 100% success rate on Sheep hunts.

On our daily fly-out fishing adventures expect some of the best fishing Alaska has to offer as well as well appointed private cabins and outstanding cuisine. Five species of Pacific salmon, Rainbow trout, Shee fish (tarpon of the north), Northern Pike, Arctic Char and Grayling, and Lake trout. Most clients release at least five different species. Outstanding fly fishing.

1. Spring Brown Bear . 1x1 - 10 Days
April & May – All time SCI worlds’ record taken April 2013. Second bear can be taken. Record book Grizzlies taken 2014 & 2015

2. Black Bear & Pike Fishing. 2x1 - 7 Days
May-Outstanding lodge based Black Bear hunt by boat and/or ATV. Pike, Excellent man & wife or father & son hunt. 
3. Fishing - 6 Days
Five species Pacific salmon, shee fish, northern pike, char, grayling rainbow & lake trout. Top-Quality, Daily fly-out fishing. Float & wheel aircraft, a dozen strategically located boats._Maximum group of 6 clients.
4. Caribou - 7 Days - 1 x 1
Black bear or grizzly can be taken on trophy fee. 90% success for 2014 guided hunters 
5. Dall Sheep -  1x1 - 7 Days
August-Fly-in & back-pack. 20 lbs. or more overweight; heavy smoker; bad legs, feet or knees – this is not your hunt. Should be able to climb & descend steep mountain terrain @ 2,000 to 6,000 ft. above sea level, carrying a 35 lb. pack. Caribou & black bear can be taken on trophy fee. 100% success 2014. 3 of 4 2016 hunters took quality rams
6. Moose 1x1- 10 Days
Five SCI record book bulls taken 2015 & 2016 season 90% success 2016 season
7. Grizzly/Moose/Caribou/Black Bear 1x1. 14 Days
September & October -THE hunt if you plan to hunt Alaska only once and do it right! High overall success rate on this hunt 

8. Fall Grizzly Bear . 1x1 . 10 Days
August & October - Great hunt for Fall Grizzlies

How to Get Here

Your flight to Anchorage, Alaska should be arranged so that you arrive in Anchorage 2 days prior to the start date of your hunt. The return flight should be for the evening of the day after your hunt ends. You will usually stay overnight in Anchorage on your arrival. Our outfitter will arrange your flights to and from Anchorage and the Lodge.

Hunt Conditions

The better condition you are in, the more enjoyable your hunt. Generally the hunts include a lot of hiking and climbing while carrying a pack. Also, keep in mind that everything to do with Alaskan hunting and fishing revolves around the weather.

Hunting Methods

Each hunter will have his own guide. You will be hunting on foot from your spike camp, finding a good vantage point and glassing for game. On the spring hunts you will usually be hunting on snow. Snowshoes will be provided.


The main lodge is constructed of local logs with a kitchen and dining room for 15 people, enclosed upper screened deck with bar and a lounge area with glass door wood stove. During your visit you will stay in one of the log cabins with a great view of the lake, cozy stove, electric lights and a full bath. There is a 1500 foot airstrip and float plane access. Depending on game movement or location of fish at the time of your visit, you will be flown to a spike camp or you may hunt and fish from the lodge.
